Inspiration has many sources, and sometimes it's difficult to nail down just one. Believe it or not I would have to attribute most of my inspiration to grief. Inspiration has many sources, and sometimes it's difficult to nail down just one. Believe it or not I would have to attribute most of my inspiration to grief. Grief is very powerful, and it will never be the same from one individual to the next. My giref comes from losing my father to Covid, and also from my own damaging actions caused by my battles with drinking. But my grief does not define me, nor does it control my creative process. I am, however, able to channel my grief onto the canvas, and I will never take that for granted. For me art is therapy; art is real, and art is everywhere. It is a constant source of happiness, even when I am working through something sad. Art provides me with validation that what I am feeling is real, and it provides me an outlet through which I can express those feeling freely and without judgement. I can only help that someone else can find peace in the images and chaos that I create

I've been an artist my entire life. Growing up, my Grandma Lois was an oil painter, and my mother's house was basically a gallery filled with her paintings. As were the homes of my aunts, and today my cousins' homes. Art has always been an important part of my life, but the works on this site are all recent. I started painting again in Ma
I've been an artist my entire life. Growing up, my Grandma Lois was an oil painter, and my mother's house was basically a gallery filled with her paintings. As were the homes of my aunts, and today my cousins' homes. Art has always been an important part of my life, but the works on this site are all recent. I started painting again in March of 2022, as an outlet to help me with my struggles with alcoholism. If I hadn't, I can say with great confidence that I would not be here today. Each painting is a direct result of a battle won. Some represent grief and loss, while others represent love and positive energy.
